Practical Training
The CERT Hybrid Practical (Hands-On) Training is a comprehensive program for citizens interested in emergency preparedness. It’s the perfect choice for those who wish to obtain the official FEMA CERT certificate and feel confident in their skills. To ensure readiness, participants must complete the 12-hour online lecture training before the start of the hands-on practical portion, which is designed to equip you with the skills you need in real-life emergency situations.
Practical Training (Hands-On)
- Estimated time = 8 hours
- Consists of 70 discussion skills; 35 are observable
- Training provided by approved medical and fire facilitators
- Participate in a mock disaster simulation
- Receive CERT Certificate by the Oklahoma Office of Emergency Management
